I spent three days on the Gossip Girl set last week. THREE!

Last week my roommate’s friend Tonya was visiting her from Florida, and it turned out we all shared a common bond over Gossip Girl, which lead us to checking out the set not once, not twice, but three times last week. Here they are broken down into chronological order, including some filming spoilers – you’ve been warned!:

DAY 1: Ed Westwick filmed a scene outside of the Empire Hotel (with Monkey on a leash!) where he is having a heated phone conversation while watching a couple throw their arms around each other and kiss. The kiss sends him off in a tirade, but when he turns to head back into the hotel he bumps into another guy on the street. Words are exchanged, but then Ed disappears into the hotel lobby. For the rest of the day they shot interior scenes and the only other cast member on set filming with Ed was (WARNING: SPOILER!) Michelle Trachtenberg aka Georgina Sparks. Why is she back?! And why is she with Chuck?! (Sildeshow has pictures of Ed filming and Michelle heading to set.)

DAY 2: They were filming in a building down off of Essex and Delancey. When we got there Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, and Chace Crawford were on set. I have no idea what was going on in the scene since we couldn’t see inside the building, but I do know that Blake Lively left the set shortly after we got there (apparently to go to the airport), and that when we left Leighton Meester and Penn Badgley were the only ones on set. DAIR. FOR. LIFE. Are all of my hopes and dreams coming true?! Thankfully, Penn stopped to take a picture with Tonya and I before heading to film.

DAY 3: They were still filming in the same building they had been the day before, but this time the only two on set were Penn and Blair. Again. I don’t know what was going on, but I was in Dair Heaven. (Leighton candids in the slideshow!)

Throwback Thursday: 2009′s Compilation Video!

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Throwback Thursday, I know… please forgive my slacking! As the year comes to a close and I am putting together my top moments of 2011 (coming the week after Christmas!!) I decided to share this video I made at the end of 2009. It’s a compilation of video I took throughout the year on sets, at events, concerts, and just goofing off with my homie:

PHEW. That was a mouthful. And yes, all footage in this video was taken by yours truly. I also chopped it all up and edited it into this amateur YouTube masterpiece. However I can’t take credit for the soundtrack, that’s all Lady Gaga’s doing. Thanks Mother Monster for creating the #1 fan girl anthem!

My day on the Pan Am set!

Thursday morning was spent by my friends and I at the Pan Am set on the Upper East Side. I have to say, never have I been on a set that was so accommodating! We arrived a little early and they were still setting up where they would film as well as the cast trailers, and while we waited the crew was kind enough to share what time the cast would be arriving so we knew what we had in store for us. Karine was the first to arrive and was incredibly sweet, and even though we spoke with her briefly before she went into hair and make-up we waited until she was in her Pan Am uniform to take pictures with her. While we were waiting for her to come out of hair and make-up as well as change, Mike Vogel arrived! Since we had seen his wardrobe get delivered and knew he wouldn’t be in his Captain’s jacket we approached him while he waited for a PA to come and open his trailer. Mike was just as nice as I’d hoped he would be, and it was fun chatting with him and getting the change to tell him how I’ve been a fan of his since Grind. When I brought up Grind he called me “an O.G.” which was super cute.

While Mike was off on set prepping to shoot scenes Karine came out of her trailer in her Pan Am uniform looking beautiful as ever, and she had her adorable little dog with her as well! I almost couldn’t believe how sweet she was, especially since she was a little behind on her schedule. She took quite a few minutes to chat with Brian as well as take pictures with all of us. It was so exciting to see her in person in her Pan Am uniform, especially since it’s such a rarity for the girls to be on the street in them! Honestly we couldn’t have picked a better day to visit the set and take the time to meet our new favorite cast.

Nick Jonas in NYC to film ‘Smash’!

FINALLY. After our run-in with Matt Prokop while waiting for Nick Jonas he finally came! Nick was in town filming ‘SMASH’ with Bernadette Peters, Debra Messing, and Katherine McPhee and I had missed him the last couple of times he was in the city so I was really excited that I finally got to meet him this time! He wasn’t as tall as I thought he was but he was still super hot and was also super nice taking the time to stop for all of his fans on his way into his hotel for a short break before heading to his last night of overnight filming for ‘SMASH’. Now I’ve met Joe and Nick so I’ve gotta meet Kevin. One day!

Speculating about Anna Kendrick & Jake Gyllenhaal…

Those of you who follow me on Twitter know that Anna Kendrick is my all-time ultimate girl crush for life. I find her to be the ultimate package: gorgeous, hilarious, and extremely talented. As a celebrity, she’s relate-able, and at the same time she is like the anti-celebrity. Yes, she walks a ton of red carpets and wears amazing dresses and has awesome A-list friends, but you never see her on the cover of Us Weekly, or stumbling out of a bar on TMZ, or tweeting about her personal life dramas like many other starlets have done and continue to do. People who do that, as entertaining as it can be sometimes, seem extremely cliché and boring after a while. Anna has ultimately left herself to be a mystery to the world, letting us only know her as a talented up-and-coming actress that we’ll see not once, not twice, but FIVE times on the big screen next year.

Anyway, I woke up this morning to some pretty epic candids of her… canoodling with “End of Watch” co-star Jake Gyllenhaal who I also adore. (Who doesn’t? Honestly.) When I first heard Anna would be playing Jake’s wife in the LA-based cop drama I about died. Two of my faves being romantic with each other in a film? Yes please! When Ben Lyons visited the set a week or so ago and interviewed the two of them in this video, my excitement continued to grow. It was really happening! Now we have these super cute pictures on Pop Sugar of them hanging out, and hanging on each other, off set, and it’s like… THIS IS AMAZING. PLEASE LET THIS BE REAL LIFE. At least that was my reaction… especially when you see them wearing wedding rings, and reading that they are allegedly on their way back from Vegas… I MEAN COME ON. HOW GREAT WOULD THAT BE?

Sad to say: This is not real life. Though these pictures were in fact taken during off-set down time, one of the dudes that visited Subway with them on this fateful day is “End of Watch” director David Ayer. Though I can’t confirm anything, apparently their characters get married in Vegas on a whim… hence why these photos say they were taken on the way back from Vegas. THIS WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, FOLKS.

Anyway, this doesn’t explain why they look so cozy (AND ADORABLE) together, or why they are wearing wedding rings when they aren’t filming… though for all we know there is in fact a camera crew there that the paparazzi just happened to leave out of the frame. I will be keeping my eye on these two…
