Justin Bieber: 2012-13 North American Tour Dates!

23 May

Justin Bieber’s sophomore album “Believe” hits shelves and online music stores on June 19th and I am so not ready for it. I loved “My World” and the later released “My World 2.0” so much that it brought back my hardcore love affair with pop music that had been dwindling for so long. I know that “Believe“ has much more of a hip-hop/R&B vibe too it based on what we’ve heard, which makes me think back to the days of N’SYNC and the progression their music took from their debut self-titled album to their last, “Celebrity“.

The Justin Timberlake comparisons don’t hurt, either.

The other day Justin Bieber released the tracklisting for “Believe“ which got all of us Beliebers into a frenzy! Check them out:

1. ‘All Around the World’ Feat. Ludacris
2. ‘Boyfriend’
3. ‘As Long As You Love Me’ Feat. Big Sean
4. ‘Take You’
5. ‘Right Here’ Feat. Drake
6. ‘Catching Feelings’
7. ‘Fall’
8. ‘Die in Your Arms’
9. ‘Thought of You’
10. ‘Beauty and a Beat’ Feat. Nicki Minaj
11. ‘One Love’
12. ‘Be Alright’
13. ‘Believe’
14. ‘Out of Town Girl’
15. ‘She Don’t Like the Lights
16. ‘Maria’

Now, adding to that frenzy, Justin Bieber has released North American tour dates! I saw Justin on his “My World” tour when he took over the IZOD Center in New Jersey and I haven’t been that impressed by a performance in a long, long time. I haven’t been that impressed since, either! It will be interesting to see what Justin brings to the stage with “Believe“ this time around. Oh, and guess what? Carly Rae Jepsen is opening for the entire run!

Hanson Gives Up & Comers Longevity Advice

7 Mar

I’ve been a Hanson fan since I was 11 years old and it has been pretty cool to see how they have evolved not only from boys to men but also musically. Unfortunately it’s a little known fact that they are one of the most successful indie recording artists ever due to the fact they still catch a lot of Mmmbop-related slack, but they still manage to stay relevant on the music scene which is pretty impressive.

Fuse recently caught up with Hanson, who are currently recording a new album, and got them to give some “advice” to the youngin’s like Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and the Jonas Brothers. I was scared to see what they would have to say as they are known for being very honest and forthcoming about their opinions regarding other musicians, but I was surprised to see how they were genuinely kind and open-minded with their responses.

It’s Justin Bieber’s 18th Birthday!

1 Mar

Justin Bieber is 18 years old today. That’s right cougar lady friends, this means he is legal and free game!

What is Justin doing to celebrate his 18th birthday? Well, aside from an appearance on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ announcing the first single off of his upcoming album “Believe” which is titled “Boyfriend” and will be released March 26th, he’s also changing the world! You know, typical 18th birthday events and all.

Last year Justin asked his fans to donate to CharityWater.org in honor of his birthday and the end result was a $47,1448 donation which is a whole lot of clean and safe drinking water for those who live without access to any. This year Justin is asking the same thing – that each fan make an $18 donation in honor of his 18th birthday. Even though Justin is asking for $18 you can actually name your donation, so it could be more if you’re feeling extra generous or less if you’re on a little bit of a budget.

His fans have another present lined up for Justin Bieber in the form of a Guiness World Record. For what, you ask? For the most social media messages in 24 hours! Fans can visit HappyBirthdayJustinBieber.com to log in to Twitter and join the messaging.

Happy Birthday Justin!

NEW MUSIC: Justin Bieber!

19 Feb

Okay, first and foremost I have to let you know that I absolutely despise LMFAO. Despise. That’s probably an understatement, but I can’t think of a better way to describe it at the moment. I just don’t get it – them – any of it. At all.

ANYWAY. ONTO THE MORE IMPORTANT AND EXCITING THINGS IN THIS VIDEO. New Justin Bieber music! You guys know I’ve got a pretty chronic case of Bieber Fever so hearing this new dance track featuring a hook by none other than the Bieber himself has got me ALL SORTS of excited. Justin has been all over the country (Miami, NYC, LA…) recording his next album “Believe” which we will hopefully be hearing more about soon – but this collaboration track with Far East Movement sounds AWESOME and will definitely tide us suffering from The Fever over for a little while longer.

2011′s Top Celebrity Encounters: #4 – Justin Bieber!

29 Dec

On Tuesday I posted my #5 Celebrity Encounter this year – Jake Gyllenhaal!

My Bieber fever kicked in to high gear at the end of Summer 2010. My friends and I got to see him in concert in New Jersey and had sick floor seats so we got to see him in action, which only brought the fever to a fatal level. Just when I thought the fever was going to take me as a casualty my friends and I heard that Justin Bieber would be in the city to not only promote but also premiere his 3D film “Never Say Never” – do I even need to tell you the rest?

It was February, and we had known that the Biebs was in town and that his premiere was that night, but we had also gotten a tip that he would be making a “surprise” appearance during the MTV Upfronts at Hammerstein Ballroom. Our tip was not wrong, because shortly after my friends and I got to the Hammerstein’s back door a big black SUV rolled up, and out popped Kenny, followed by Bieber, and Scooter, and everyone else that was a major part of Bieber’s entourage at the time. He didn’t stop on the way in and we got nervous, especially when the crowd was no longer just my friends and I but my friends and a handful of two of randoms who had also heard about Bieber being in the building, but our prayers were answered when he left. Scooter and Co. brought the Bieber, all decked out in his premiere outfit including purple bow tie, directly to our little group of friends. Not only did he sign autographs but he took individual pictures with every single one of us before leaving. It. Was. Amazing. I think we all cried, honestly. NO SHAME!

The second time I met Biebs was not without copious amounts of effort. In June one of my friends who would prefer to remain nameless and I camped out outside of Macy’s in Herald Square for a chance to grab one of the 300 passes for a meet & greet with Bieber. We were somewhere around #35 in line and we left the next morning with passes to meet Bieber the following day and a huge Someday gift set. The following we day we showed up about an hour before the meet and greet was supposed to start, and as most Bieber fans and New Yorkers know – chaos erupted. I still don’t think anyone knows what happened but the story is that Bieber was somehow “jumped” outside of Macy’s when he came out to greet the waiting (and also meet and greet-less) fans. The meet and greet ended up losing about an hour and a half before it started, and way back in line where we were we heard he was only doing group pictures because the NYPD had demanded he be out of the building in an hour or him and everyone in his entourage was being arrested. INSANE. Lucky enough for us, once we got close enough, we could see that he was in fact taking solo pictures with his fans and we wiped the sweat off of our foreheads and prepared to meet him – again.

It’s all very much a blur, but I will never forget how it went down. Girls were running up to take a picture with him and instead of saying anything to him they would just throw themselves around him and hug him and then run off screaming. It was cute, but you could see that he looked tired (he had been doing non-stop press the past couple of days) and I felt pretty bad for him. When it was my turn I walked up to him and made sure to say hello before posing for pictures, and he seemed very excited that I could actually speak to him. “Hi!” We posed for a picture and before I left I turned to ask him if he was okay (we had all heard about the drama) and he said, “I am okay, thank you so much for asking, and thank you for coming.” Then I think I blacked out because the next thing I remember is picking up our pictures and screaming like 12 year old girls. Totally normal.

#3 is up next (it’s coming right after this post since I had technical difficulties last night and couldn’t get this one up in time!) – any guesses?

I may (or may not) have done the voiceovers for this. Maybe.

22 Nov

I had heard about Justin Bieber’s Macy’s ad with the screaming Macy’s employees a few days ago, but it wasn’t until now I just watched it with my brother and I have to say that I completely forgot that I worked on this. You know, those high-pitched screams coming out of the overgrown men throughout the video? That was me, obviously. I mean, I don’t know about you guys, but that’s definitely what I sound like when JB walks by… or sings… or talks to me… or breathes…

Justin Bieber @ the Today Show!

4 Nov

When Brian and I heard that Justin Bieber was going to be on the Today Show promoting his Christmas album ‘Under the Mistletoe’ it was a no-brainer. We decided to meet at 5:30AM outside the plaza and crossed our fingers that we wouldn’t be too late. To be honest, when I got there at 5:30 I was sure we were too late. I have never been so far back in line at the Today Show and I was ready to throw in my hat if I got into that courtyard and all of the barricade space was gone. When they finally let us in at 6:30 we scored a spot, by the grace of the fan girl Gods, in the corner against the barricade right outside of the glass studio. Needless to say I felt a lot better! I came prepared with my picture from the Macy’s Someday meet and greet this past summer and a Sharpie in hand for him to sign it. When Justin first came out he went to the opposite side of the crowd and we were a little nervous, especially after making his rounds and getting to about 5 people before us they pulled him inside to mic him up for his courtyard interview. Everyone in our corner had just about lost hope… until Justin finished up his interview with Matt, Ann, and Al and made sure to complete the part of the courtyard he had missed beforehand! It got a little hectic when he got to our section and he almost skipped us – actually, he was already onto the girl next to us when he saw my picture and turned to sign it for me!  When Justin says that he loves his fans – he means it. More than most people do, too, and he proves that every time he does a fan-related event. He may not be able to stop for pictures with everyone when there are hundreds and hundreds of other fans waiting, but he’ll do what he can to make you happy and he sure made me happy. I posted a quick snap of his autograph on my Instagram here.

The pictures I included are a compilation of shots both Brian and I took this morning, as well as some shots of us with the ‘Under the Mistletoe’ truck that was selling copies of the CD’s and giving out awesome posters. We had so much fun this morning!

What’s your favorite song off of ‘Under the Mistletoe’? Mine is Drummer Boy!

Justin Bieber remixes Lil Wayne’s “How to Love” – yes, please!

28 Sep

It seems like Lil Wayne’s ‘How to Love’ is the song to remix and cover these days and considering how much I love the original, I’m A-OK with this. Especially when Justin Bieber does it. Remember his Ernie Halter ‘Come Home to Me’ cover? Swoon.

Taylor Swift & Justin Bieber perform “Baby”… TOGETHER.

24 Aug

OH MY GOD. THERE ARE NO WORDS. Los Angeles, do you know how lucky you are?! I would have paid obscene amounts of money to see this live.

He even raps! And he brought his own dancers! I cannot!

(Thanks to my girl Melinda for the heads up on this! Apparently I was in a coma last night and missed it.)
