Throwback Thursday: 2009′s Compilation Video!

22 Dec

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Throwback Thursday, I know… please forgive my slacking! As the year comes to a close and I am putting together my top moments of 2011 (coming the week after Christmas!!) I decided to share this video I made at the end of 2009. It’s a compilation of video I took throughout the year on sets, at events, concerts, and just goofing off with my homie:

In order of appearance:

Penn Badgley, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Leighton Meester & Blake Lively, Jackson Rathbone, Pete Wentz, Kobe Bryant, Hanson, The Edge (U2!), Bobby Long, Charlie Bewley & Daniel Cudmore, Peter Facinelli, Robert Downey Jr., Donnie Wahlberg, Kenan Thompson, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Hanson, Kristen Stewart, Mark Wahlberg & Will Ferrell, Taylor Lautner (x2), Mark Wahlberg, Rachel McAdams, Edi Gathegi, Shia LaBeouf, Jason Schwartzman, Jude Law, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, & Kristen Stewart.

PHEW. That was a mouthful. And yes, all footage in this video was taken by yours truly. I also chopped it all up and edited it into this amateur YouTube masterpiece. However I can’t take credit for the soundtrack, that’s all Lady Gaga’s doing. Thanks Mother Monster for creating the #1 fan girl anthem!

Throwback Thursday: Charlie Bewley!

18 Nov

I know, I know, I know. I’m a day late. Sometimes Throwback Thursday actually happens on Friday because I am a major, major slacker. One of these days I’m going to figure out how to cheat the system and back date posts so that you don’t know I am epic blog failure.

Keeping up with my promised theme for the month of November, here is Twilight cast member and resident Volturi vampire himself Charlie Bewley! The first time we met Charlie was not when this picture was taken. The first time we met Charlie was after we slept on the ground in the parking lot of the Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey listening to Hot Topic employees conduct a really poor game of Twilight trivia, only to buy passes to a meet & greet with Charlie Bewley and Daniel Cudmore a few days later. Thankfully we were well rested for our actual meet and greet, which was most exciting for June because Charlie is her Twilight #1, but it was a very quick greeting with a signed poster in Hot Topic followed by a Q&A in the common space of the mall. It was brief but it was fun and exciting and we were pleased that we got to see Charlie & Daniel because we figured we wouldn’t have many other chances to do so. We were so, so, so, so, so wrong.

A couple of weeks later while the Twilight cast was in NYC to promote and premiere New Moon and I was on a mission to meet Taylor Lautner for the very first time (which didn’t really work out, but I DID get to see him in person for the first time, so it was okay!) we had a very random, very exciting, very casual and unplanned run-in with none other than Charlie Bewley. June almost died. I actually had to force her to get out of the car when we saw him, because she almost didn’t. And I have to say for such a random, random, random run-in Charlie couldn’t have been sweeter. In fact he was with two friends, and we later found out that there was a New Moon cast party happening INSIDE the building we met him outside of so our heads exploded the next day at the proximity to greatness. We spent a good half hour or so just chatting with Charlie and his friends that night and I don’t think I’ve had such a casually epic encounter since. This picture is just one of the handful we ended up taking before leaving! We see Charlie every now and again when he’s in town promoting himself and other things and he is always just as sweet to June & I (especially June though!) every time he sees us which makes him one of my faves as well.

Aside from Twilight, Charlie is also in the recently released (and also INCREDIBLE) film ‘Like Crazy‘ with Anton Yelchin & Felicity Jones that you should definitely, definitely go see. I am also hoping we get to see more from the “Astoria Ent” project he has been working on with Matt Dallas and Steven Grahym soon!

Next week will be the last Throwback Thursday for Breaking Dawn month, and as promised it will be a human! You’ve gotten a Cullen, a wolf, and a Volturi. Stay tuned!

Throwback Thursday: Alex Meraz!

11 Nov

As I mentioned in last weeks Throwback Thursday with Peter Facinelli this month would be Twilight-themed, and I promised a Cullen (last week), a wolf (this week!), a Volturi, and a human. June & I met Alex Meraz in Atlantic City in 2009 when he, Chaske Spencer, and Edi Gathegi hosted a Halloween party at Harrah’s Pool. That year we went as Merlotte’s waitresses, as you can see! Alex went out of his way all night to take pictures with fans both in and outside of the cabana he and the rest of the cast were in. This was back in the beginning of my going to event days and meeting different celebrities, so I have to admit that when I met Alex I was in awe. Not only am I an avid wolf pack fan, but Alex is hot, and seeing how nice he was to everyone and accommodating to fans was really refreshing.

Stay tuned for next week!

Throwback Thursday: Peter Facinelli!

3 Nov

(from L-R: Ilana, me, PFach, Kathleen, & June!)

In the spirit of Twilight and Breaking Dawn, Part 1 being released this month, I’ve dubbed this month ‘Twilight Month’ for Throwback Thursdays. You might remember the first and last time Throwback Thursdays had a theme: ABDUCTION!

I have pictures with a pretty large portion of the cast, though not all of them, and so I will be able to provide a picture with a Cullen (see above!), a wolf, a human, and a Volturi before the months end. However I am saving the big names (ahem, trio!) pictures for the final installment next year – so let’s hope I’m still blogging by then.

The first time my friends and I met Peter Facinelli in 2009 was at a fundraiser event for Alex’s Lemonade. As you know Peter Facinelli is a huge supporter for Alex’s Lemonade and over the years he has done a dozen or so different events with them in order to help raise money and bring awareness. I can’t remember where this particular one was, honestly, but it was at small mall in “upstate” nowhere that was like at least a good two hour drive if not longer. The line was insane and we got nervous that we might not make the cut because the event was supposed to end at 5PM and we were all the way in the back, but Peter kept going an extra hour or so making sure he got in everyone. Not only was he doing pictures with fans, but he was also taking a few minutes to chat with everyone and even personalizing his autographs (June’s Can’t Hardly Wait DVD reads: “Someone in there called me a fag!” and mine reads: “Mike Dexter is a God!”). When we asked him for a ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’ themed picture he was excited about it but also told us that he could hardly do the move when he was filming! Also you may notice the censor bar… let’s just say his pants sagged a little low and his shirt went up a little high and… well… there was a very large portion of PFach’s V aka the Valley to his Babymaker. He was a little concerned but I promised him that when I posted it I would censor it and he seemed pleased with this idea. (I didn’t forget, Peter!)

Throwback Thursday: Orlando Bloom!

20 Oct

This weeks Throwback Thursday is, as you can barely see, Orlando Bloom. I met Orlando Bloom while I was working the Tribeca Film Festival this year on the night of his premiere for ‘The Good Doctor’ which Brian and I got to attend. The movie was great, a little strange, but Orlando is an incredible actor so his range is pretty wide which makes it hard for his movies to be terrible. Unfortunately my picture is blurry because I have this bad habit of turning my flash off and never turning it back on before an event, but oh well. Shit happens. I can still see that it is clearly Orlando Bloom in my picture and that’s all that matters to me. He was really nice, as was his wife Miranda Kerr who also stopped for fans on the way in.  Orlando’s latest project is ‘Three Musketeers’ which I personally cannot wait to see. Check out the trailer below!

Throwback Thursday: Joe Jonas!

13 Oct

I met Joe Jonas for the first time a little over a year ago in the summer of 2010 thanks to my (now) roommate Carly. The only time I’ve ever seen the Jonas Brothers in concert was back when they opened up for the Backstreet Boys in 2004 or 2005 or something, and I remember distinctly getting up to leave with my friend Tivoli because we preferred to buy drinks and snacks rather than stay for their performance. It was mostly because we didn’t know or care who they were, but it was also because there were throngs of 12 year old girls around us who completely lost their minds and if you know me or anything about me – I hate babysitting. I also hate unsupervised children and minors. ANYWAY! On our way back to our seats we actually passed the three of them in one of the hallways under the bleacher seats – why they were walking through there I will never know, but whatever – and I remember all three of them said hi to us and asked what was up like they were trying to strike up conversation and Tiv and I glanced at each other awkwardly and went back to our seats. Let’s add this moment to my Top 5 Biggest Regrets in life, okay?

Fast forward to right now: I have 3 Jonas Brothers albums on my iPod, not including the Camp Rock 2 soundtrack. I’ve still never seen them in concert but I have seen Joe in concert twice now (if Fashion’s Night Out counts…) and if they ever tour together again I would definitely try to go. Joe is the only one of the three that I’ve met and he was so nice. I have heard a lot of great things about the three of them from my roommate and her friends but it was nice to find out for myself how genuine they are. I’ve never camped out for them or traveled the world for them but I know people who have and they have the best experiences because the Jonas family knows how to take care of their fans at all times. I absolutely LOVE Joe’s new album Fast Life though, it’s been on repeat since I downloaded it, and I highly recommend it. If you liked Britney’s last album, you will like Fast Life. Trust! (Fave songs: Fast Life & Make You Mine! Yours?)

ANYWAY. It’s been a little slow ’round these parts but that happens every now and again as sometimes there is just nothing going on, nothing to blog about, and I am too busy with work or my social life or what have you. However I am still very much here and still very much going to be blogging for some time, so always be sure to stay tuned.

Throwback Thursday: Taylor Lautner!

22 Sep

FYI: This will conclude my ‘Abduction’ themed Throwback Thursdays!

At this point, especially if you’ve been reading my tweets for the past 24 hours, my love affair/mild obsession/epic fangirl ways are at their highest and most extreme levels for Taylor Lautner. I honestly don’t know what it is, but it’s definitely something about how genuine he is, and I truly believe he has a huge, huge career ahead of him which will be exciting to see unfold as the years go on. I tried to meet Taylor at a couple of different Twilight-related promo events for about year… Regis and Kelly, Letterman, etc. all to no avail. Finally when he was promoting ‘Eclipse’ last July my friends and I got the chance to meet him live and in the flesh at the Today Show where he was more than excited to greet fans and take pictures and sign anything and everything you asked him to. It was a totally surreal moment because while I do meet a lot of celebrities, there are so few that I am so passionate about and he was the first big one that I met that I was completely overwhelmed by. I hope that when other people meet their absolute most favorite human being that they are fortunate enough to have as pleasant experience as I did!

I’ll be posting some new video and pictures of Taylor within the next couple of days from his ‘Abduction’ promo here in New York. Today was really exciting and I can’t wait to share everything with you!

Throwback Thursday: Lily Collins!

16 Sep

In continuing with my ‘Abduction’ theme for the month, here is the young and beautiful Lily Collins! Originally known for being musician Phil Collins daughter, Lily has made a name for herself in the film industry after roles in ‘The Blind Side’ and ‘Priest’ which have scored her coveted roles such as one of the upcoming ‘Snow White’ films and the new Harry Potter/Twilight/Hunger Games series adaptation ‘The Mortal Instruments’. I am really glad that I got a chance to meet Lily while she was promoting ‘Priest’ at the SoHo Apple Store a few months back, because now that I’ve seen ‘Abduction’ (thanks for the screening tonight, Lionsgate!) I have to say that I am extremely, extremely, extremely jealous of what her role as Karen in ‘Abduction’ entailed – and I promise you I do NOT mean the stunts!

Throwback Thursday: Jason Isaacs!

8 Sep

Continuing with my ‘Abduction’ themed Throwback Thursdays here is a shot with another cast member – Jason Isaacs! Most of you know Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. I know Jason Isaacs originally as the bad guy from ‘The Patriot’. Now he’s not only playing Taylor Lautner’s father in ‘Abduction’ (in theaters 9/23!) but he’s also got a new show on NBC! I met Jason Isaacs at the NBC Upfronts this Spring while he was promoting his new TV series ‘Awake’ – check out a preview for it below!

Throwback Thursday: Maria Bello!

1 Sep

It is September! I have been waiting, and waiting, and waiting all year for September because two movies that are very, very important to me come out this month…. one of which is Taylor Lautner’s ‘ABDUCTION’! Due in part to my excitement as well as the fact that I’ve met a large majority of the cast this year, consider this my very first “theme” month of Throwback Thursdays. For the very first Thursday of the month I present you my Maria Bello meeting! I got the chance to meet Maria Bello at the NBC Upfronts this past Spring while she was promoting her new series ‘Prime Suspect’.

Here’s a sneak peek at NBC’s ‘Prime Suspect’ which, coincidentally, starts airing Thursday 9/22 – the night before ‘Abduction’s theatrical release:
